Journée poésie / Poetry day (7)

Toulouse Saint-Simon, parc Monlong, 13/06/2021

Etanchez ma soif,

Ombres. Je bois de vos eaux

par monts et par vaux

Weaving and dreaming

Gently drinking from your souls

Bring me to the light

***********

De bon matin

L'ombre et la lumière

Sont les premières

Sur le petit chemin

...

L'ombre et la lumière

Enluminent le destin

de très bon matin

Daniel

percées de lumière

des traces sur mon chemin

avancer encore

…

feuilles protectrices

lumières qui éclairent ma route

le vitrail que j'aime

Fifi

pleine, ou morcelée,

lors des chaleurs estivales,

l'ombre est mon amie

Tilia

Dazzled by shadows,

Half-blind, we stumble through life,

Without looking up.

Vicki

Vert marécage

Bocage blanc transperce

Cheminent les idées

 ...

Survolent coquilles d’œufs

Nacrées ombres souboisées

Prends garde belle mariée !

Le soleil et l’ombre

vrais champions de la découpe

jeux de cache-cache.

Image lunaire

et pourtant fruit du soleil

surprise en chemin

Journée poésie / Poetry day (14)

Toulouse Saint-Simon, Parc Monlong, 7 févr.2021

Au gré de mes pas

Sous l’écorce gite la sève

Puisent mes pensées

As I walk alone

Under the bark flows the sap

Brainwaves all along

*****

frisottis de mousse

je te tâte et je me couche

friselis plaisir

*

coeur ouvert tout vert

hémorragie hivernale

je ne t'aime plus

*

Comme dans un songe

à même parois s’accroche

verte était la mousse

*

Ilot verdoyant

que dure la roche dure

oeil vertigineux

*

pas un cheveu blanc

cœur de pierre vêtu de vert

refuse de vieillir

Qu’il est beau l’hiver!

Le fond de l’eau l’a happé

Parade la couronne

A cheer for winter

The pond snatched a bit of it

Glides the golden wreath

*

La glace d'hiver

qui sur la mare surnage

au soleil fondra

J 43/ Pas drôle/Not funny 2/2

Toulouse Saint-Simon, Parc Monlong, 10 déc. 202

A little cup without lid was attached to the tree. In fact so high that I had to stand on my tiptoes and place my cell above the cup to snap a picture and look at it to see what was going on. A good idea after all.
Drug addicts visiting the parc is not new,  I have always seen a number of signs here and there. What would be an acceptable solution?
I only think about the park employees and the precautions they need to take.

J26/ Journée poésie / Poetry day (3)

Toulouse Saint-Simon, Parc Monlong, 24 nov. 2020

Entrechocs légers

Dans la chaleur de l’instant

Deux peaux se frôlent

Musical clinkings

A moment of sweet sweet warmth

Shells softly rubbing

Autumn nears its end;

Shortened days; time running out . . .

Like Trump the loser.

J21/ Les sens en éveil/Fully alert

Toulouse Saint Simon, Parc Monlong, 19 nov. 2020

The sun begins to hide but this dog doesn't seem to care at all. He is very careful and is slow to get in. What did he see? He is the only one who knows. We did not want to wait any longer and resumed our fast walking so as not to freeze.

J17/ Jardin et cuisine/Garden and kitchen

Toulouse Saint Simon, à la maison et au parc/At home and at the park, 15 nov.2020

Sorry no recipe for cleaning up garden tools except washing them with water and oiling them before storing them for the winter.
The recipe for the almonds cookies is very easy:
Mix 3 oz of sugar + 3 1/2 oz of flour, 3 1/2 oz of almond powder, a pinch of salt and 3 oz of softened butter.
Add an egg and form a ball that you put in the fridge for an hour.
Then form cookies, that you coat with a mixture of egg yolk and milk.
Bake in a 400°F oven till the cookies are golden brown (12/14 min.)

Toulouse Saint-Simon, Parc Monlong, 29 oct. 2020

Madam is always working when she is on her lot, Mister is supervising and helps occasionally...
Sometimes we get delicious vegetables.

Snowy notes
A few pictures to keep you going until the next post...

It is a little bit gloomy here in Toulouse these days: two half-days of snow and an Autan's wind (dry wind coming from the South-East) which clears everything up in a couple of hours. All parks have been closed till this morning.

Effeuillage

Parc Monlong, novembre 2017

De-leafing
The water is pretty clear. Only this one leaf, smaller than the others, knows how to resist for the time being  the temptation of diving.

Begging for help
Pretty hard to believe: There are crayfishes from streams and the Park Montlong's little crayfish.

Too busy bringing back the crayfish to its natural habitat, the third image is blurry.

One day two Crabs came out from their home to take a stroll on the sand. “Child,” said the mother, “you are walking very ungracefully. You should accustom yourself, to walking straight forward.” “Mother,” said the young one, “set the example yourself, and I will follow you.”

The little guy
There are city rats, there are country rats and there is the Park Monlong's Rat.

A country mouse invited a Town Mouse, an intimate friend, to pay him a visit and partake of his country fare. As they were on the bare plowlands, eating there wheat-stocks and roots pulled up from the hedgerow, the Town Mouse said to his friend, “You live here the life of the ants, while in my house is the horn of plenty. I am surrounded by every luxury, and if you will come with me, as I wish you would, you shall have an ample share of my dainties.” The Country Mouse was easily persuaded, and returned to town with his friend. On his arrival, the Town Mouse placed before him bread, barley, beans, dried figs, honey, raisins, and, last of all, brought a dainty piece of cheese from a basket. The Country Mouse, being much delighted at the sight of such good cheer, expressed his satisfaction in warm terms and lamented his own hard fate. Just as they were beginning to eat, someone opened the door, and they both ran off squeaking, as fast as they could, to a hole so narrow that two could only find room in it by squeezing. They had scarcely begun their repast again when someone else entered to take something out of a cupboard, whereupon the two Mice, more frightened than before, ran away and hid themselves. At last the Country Mouse, almost famished, said to his friend: “Although you have prepared for me so dainty a feast, I must leave you to enjoy it by yourself. It is surrounded by too many dangers to please me. I prefer my bare plowlands and roots from the hedgerow, where I can live in safety, and without fear.”
"TheTown Mouse and the Country Mouse" Esope (Esope seems to have lived during the VII-VI century BC)
